Kings Mill Walk Park: Upcoming Improvements

Kings Mill Walk Park Improvements Approved by City Council

Guided by feedback from the community, the City of North Vancouver Council recently voted to move forward with improvements to Kings Mill Walk Park, which neighbours North Harbour along the Spirit Trail on the North Vancouver waterfront. The design reflects the following enhancements:

  • Increasing the off-leash area for dogs to 1,600 square metres, including a separate space for shy/small dogs.
  • Creating an all ages play zone, parkour and fitness stations.
  • Adding a lawn area with habitat enhancement, covered picnic shelters and a beach volleyball court.
  • Improving pathing to become entirely accessible and adding a committed bike lane to separate cyclists from pedestrians.

Once an estuary, the City is looking forward to re-introducing aspects of the original habitat to reflect the land’s rich ecological history.

The park improvements are expected to start in 2023. For more details visit letstalk.cnv.org/Kingsmill.
